About Lucky Pair

Hi! We're Haley and Emilee, the co-founders of Lucky Pair Mahjong. After falling in love with American Mahjong ourselves, we realized there weren't many approachable ways to learn the game in our area. So we decided to change that. Today, our favorite part of what we do is watching complete beginners leave class feeling confident, connected, and excited to play again. We can't wait to welcome you to the table!

At Lucky Pair Mahjong, we believe the best memories are made around a table.

What started as a shared love for American Mahjong quickly became a passion for introducing others to the game. We created Lucky Pair to make learning Mahjong approachable, welcoming, and—most importantly—fun. Whether you've never touched a tile before or you're looking to sharpen your skills, we'll meet you where you are.

Our classes are designed to take the intimidation out of learning. We break down the rules, guide you through each step, and create a relaxed environment where questions are encouraged, laughter is guaranteed, and new friendships often begin.

You'll find us hosting Mahjong 101 classes at local coffee shops, wineries, breweries, cideries, and other community spaces, as well as teaching private in-home lessons, corporate events, and special gatherings. Wherever we play, our goal is the same: to bring people together through a game that has connected generations.

Mahjong is more than a game—it's an excuse to gather, unplug, and build community. In a world where meaningful connection can be hard to find, we're proud to create spaces where people can slow down, share a table, and leave with both new skills and new friends.
